The Mammoth Melting Sugar organic Snow Pea, or Pisum sativum, is a favorite spring crop that is easy to grow. Here’s why snow peas are the perfect addition to your vegetable garden:

Growing Season: Snow Peas can be planted in early spring and will grow and produce fruit until temperatures reach 85*F. Plant seeds directly when the ground has thawed. Sow seeds 1 inch deep and 2-3 inches apart. They can also be planted in a container with a quality potting soil.

Sunlight: While these plants can tolerate part-shade conditions, Snow Peas require full sun exposure to develop flowers and bear fruit.

Water and Soil: Snow Peas can thrive in a variety of soil textures so long as they are well-draining.

Harvest: Harvest in the late spring to early summer as pea pods become full. Snow peas are excellent eaten fresh, stir-fried, or cooked.
